The BIOEFFECT Story
BIOEFFECT was founded in 2010 in Reykjavík by three Icelandic scientists (Björn Örvar, Einar Mäntylä, Julius Kristinsson) who had been working on plant molecular farming — specifically, growing human growth factors in barley plants.
