Sofwave (Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam)

The Sofwave handpiece uses an array of seven synchronous ultrasound transducers that deliver parallel beams precisely focused at 1.5mm depth — the mid-dermis. Each beam creates a controlled thermal coagulation zone that triggers fibroblast activity and collagen remodeling in the surrounding tissue. The treatment is 'fractional' in concept — the beams treat columns of tissue with untreated tissue between them, allowing rapid healing. A built-in cooling system protects the epidermis throughout. Total energy delivery is calibrated by the device based on skin type and target area.

Session takes 30–45 minutes total. Topical numbing for 30 minutes pre-treatment; some clinics also use cold air. The treatment itself feels like sharp warm pulses with each pass — most patients rate it 4–6/10 on a pain scale. Immediately after: skin is slightly red and warm, may have mild swelling.
