You've never heard of Diadermine unless you shop at Carrefour. That's a shame, because the Lift+ line's day cream is the closest thing to an €8 anti-aging cream that actually delivers. Not cult, not clinical, not Instagrammable — just quietly effective since 1905.
Strengths
- + Shockingly affordable
- + Decent anti-aging actives
- + Widely available in EU
Weaknesses
- − Fragranced
- − Mineral-oil heavy
- − Dated packaging
The Diadermine Story
Diadermine launched in 1905 in Germany and was acquired by Henkel in 1954, becoming one of Europe's longest-running continuously-sold skincare brands. It's sold primarily through French and German supermarkets and drugstores, and has essentially zero presence in premium retail or English-speaking media. The Lift+ line, launched in 2005, is its anti-aging flagship. Think Nivea's slightly more active-focused French cousin.
