Native to northern Australia, long used by Aboriginal communities. The fruit packs roughly 100× the vitamin C of oranges by weight. In skincare it's usually extracted and stabilised as a brightening antioxidant, often positioned as a gentler L-ascorbic alternative. The signature ingredient of the new wave of Aussie indie brands (Ultra Violette, Emma Lewisham, Sand & Sky).
