Caffeine
Also known as: coffee-extract, coffea-arabica-seed-extract
The espresso shot for your eye bags. Honest about what it does — and doesn't.
What It Does
Deep Dive
Topical caffeine vasoconstricts micro-vessels under the eye, which reduces the look of fluid-retention puffiness short-term. It is also a respectable antioxidant, which is why you see it in daytime eye serums. What it does not do: "lift", "firm", or change the actual collagen under your eyes. Use it for morning puffiness, bag it when the marketing copy gets too ambitious. The Ordinary's Caffeine Solution and Olehenriksen's Banana Bright both hit the sweet spot. Pair it with cold — roller in the fridge, not a trend — for real morning results.
