Ascorbyl Glucoside
Also known as: AA2G, Vitamin C derivative
The well-mannered vitamin C โ stable, gentle, converts to ascorbic acid in skin but slower than L-AA.
What It Does
Deep Dive
A glucoside ester of vitamin C that's stable at a wider pH range than L-ascorbic acid. Skin enzymes cleave the glucose to release ascorbic acid gradually. Result: less irritation, more reliable product shelf life, slower and subtler brightening than pure L-AA. Good for sensitive-skin shoppers who can't tolerate straight vitamin C.
