What is Toner?

First hydrating step after cleansing
K-beauty toners are nothing like harsh Western astringent toners. Korean toners are hydrating, pH-balancing liquids applied immediately after cleansing to prep skin for subsequent products. They help restore skin's natural pH (around 5.5), add a first layer of hydration, and improve absorption of following steps. Many K-beauty fans use the 7-skin method with their toner.
